OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford OPP is investigating a crash involving OPP cruisers on Highway 403.
It happened in the westbound lanes at the Highway 53 exit. Sergeant Ed Sanchuk posted a video about it on the OPP West Region X page.
"Unfortunately, we have two OPP officers that are being sent to hospital after their cruisers were struck from behind by motorists. So, we'd just like to put out yet another reminder. The roadways are snow and ice-covered. You need to slow down."
He also stressed the importance of slowing down and moving over for emergency vehicles with their lights on. Sanchuck mentions anymore information regarding the collision will come once it is available.
"Any further updates surrounding this particular crash will be provided by Provincial Constable Matt Foster from the Oxford OPP. He's your Media Relations Officer."
Sanchuck is reminding motorists to slow down and drive according to the conditions of the road. He says if you see snow, go slow, and if you see ice, think twice.
