The United States is going to send Canada 1.5 million doses of the Astra-Zeneca vaccine.
This is according to a report out of Reuters where they say the US will be sending 4 million doses to neighbouring countries in Mexico in Canada.
AstraZeneca is currently not authorized for use in the United States, however it is in Canada and Mexico.
Premier Doug Ford was asked about the news today and he didn't shy away in his excitement.
"God Bless America, they are coming to our rescue, I've been bugging Trump, I've been bugging Biden, I've been bugging all of them, they must get sick of Doug Ford asking for help."
Ford says he's willing to drive down to the States to pick up the vaccines.
"President Biden, thank you and once I get them I will call you a champion. That's what true neighbours do, we help each other in a crisis, if we have to go down there and pick em up, I'll drive down in my pickup and bring them down if I have to."
