Police say a 44 year old man from Blandford-Blenheim tracked down a pedestrian who allegedly stole their cell phone, hit them with their vehicle and then assaulted them.
WOODSTOCK - A 44 year old man from Blandford-Blenheim is facing several charges after tracking down the person who allegedly stole their cellphone.
Police say the man hit the pedestrian with his vehicle on Wednesday night in the area of Henry Street around 11. The driver used a tracking device to find his cellphone that was stolen from his vehicle. Police say the driver hit the pedestrian with their vehicle and then assaulted the person afterwards.
The victim was taken to the hospital in London with serious injuries. The 44 year old driver was charged with assault causing bodily harm and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
