Visit Europe with the Woodstock Art Gallery

The Woodstock Art Gallery is selling tickets for a once in a lifetime cruise to Athens, Venice, Munich, and Frankfurt!

WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery is looking to sell cruise tickets to Europe to visit Venice Biennale and Documenta.

The European art festivals focus on contemporary art and the cruise spans 10 days. You also get to visit Athens, Venice, Munich, and Frankfurt. The cruise runs from June 4th to 14th and the plane to Europe leaves on June 3rd.

It costs $4,000 to go on the trip and $250 from each ticket will go towards the Woodstock Art Gallery. The plane trip will cost extra.

Director Curator Mary Reid is excited to go on the trip.

"I mean it's pretty incredible, I did have the opportunity to go to the Venice Biennale in 2007, and it made a lasting impression on me. I can tell you that I'll be your personal tour guide as we go through all the exhibitions and I'll certainly make it entertaining and fun, and if I can, arrange a few kind of behind the scenes to meet some artists and curators."

Reid tells us more about the festivals.

"The first one is the Venice Beinnali, and it's sort of like the Olympics for contemporary art, so all the countries have their own pavilion, and all the countries come together to compete for the best of the best of contemporary art. In Kassel Germany, there's a very important Exhibition called 'Documenta' and it only happens every 5 years, and they bring the worlds best of contemporary art to come through this"

There’s still 14 spots available for the once in a lifetime trip. For more information visit the Woodstock Art Gallery’s website.
