As the Terry Fox Run in Woodstock gets closer, the need for volunteers increases.
WOODSTOCK - The Terry Fox Run is looking for volunteers.
There will be a meeting tonight at South Gate Centre beginning at 7 p.m. Organizer, John Versaevel has the details of what you can expect if you show up to the meeting.
"It should be all done by 8:30, at the latest I would think. And anyone and everyone is welcome whether they are ready to commit, or just interested, or if they just want to find out more about the run."
Versaevel says the Terry Fox Run would not happen if they didn't have volunteers.
"We have been fortunate with good core for the last number of years, but obviously you want to keep expanding. You want the group to grow. There are multiple opportunities to help out."
He adds if you want to volunteer, you can donate whatever time you are able to commit. Versaevel mentions there will be a presentation of all the events that are scheduled to take place, along with what the needs will be in order to have the events happen.
