Election day is coming up on Monday and each Township in Oxford County is trying to make voting as easy as possible.
OXFORD COUNTY - Municipal elections are fast approaching in Oxford County, and municipalities want to make sure that everyone is informed on how to vote.
In order to make voting a fair and accessible event for everyone, Oxford County has offered several methods for people to vote.
"Well, they're being done in multiple ways," says Brian Smith, member of the Future Oxford Board. "So that people can do them in some cases, by phone, they can do them online and should've got a card already received by mail, and of course you can still do them face to face; that old fashioned and highly sociable way of casting your vote!"
Future Oxford Board has also been making an effort in informing the youth of today everything they need to know for when they're old enough to vote tomorrow.
"There's a number of things, one of which was the efforts that were done last week with a youth forum, because one of the things we know is that when teens are engaged in election debates, their parents think about them, and then go out and vote," Smith says. "The teens don't necessarily influence how they vote, but the number of them that vote is good."
Municipal elections for Oxford County will begin on Monday, October 22nd.
