The Woodstock Art Gallery distributed 500 art supply grab bags in just under two hours on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Art Gallery was able to hand out all 500 art supply grab bags on Saturday.
The bags were made possible thanks to a donation from TMMC. Museum Curator Mary Reid says they have plenty of fun craft ideas for the kids to do this week on their website.
"One is to make craft stick insects, another one is to make a paper chain rainbow, you could also make your own beautiful floral bouquet, as well as beautiful garland with butterflies and or little birds and you can find the instructions for all these crafts and more on our web site, also if you didn't receive the grab bags, the web site will tell you all of the art supplies need to complete these projects."
Reid says the grab bags didn't just have art supplies, they also included a couple of special little treats.
"The City of Woodstock gave us a lot of little squishy cows and Toyota, our sponsor had specially made glow in the dark yo-yo's made, so we had a couple of extra special treats added to the bags."
When the Art Gallery offered this program for Family Day, they had 300 grab bags that were gone in 10 minutes. They made extra's this time around thanks to their sponsor Toyota and it took a little bit longer to hand them out with every bag handed out in just under 2 hours.
Reid says they really want to give a huge thank you to TMMC for sponsoring this program for the kids to have something to do during the Spring Break.
