The Walk for Alzheimer's events in Oxford County this year have brought in over $137,000 for the local society.
WOODSTOCK - The Walk for Alzheimer event in Woodstock this weekend was another smashing success.
All told the event brought in a remarkable $102,000 at the Oxford Auditorium on Saturday. This brings the Oxford County total for the three walks this year to a staggering $137,800. Executive Director Shelley Green says they want to thank all of the donors and the sponsors who made this possible.
"Really excited about the results in Oxford County, that is the most we have ever raised through the walks. This is our 23rd annual walk in Woodstock, so we have been doing this for a long time and we are so appreciative of our community support and there willingness to really stand beside those who are dealing with dementia in Oxford County with their show of support through the walks."
All of the money raised will be used to help fund the services offered by the Alzheimer Society of Oxford County.
