OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health is reporting one new active case of COVID-19 today in Elgin County and two more recoveries in Oxford County.
The recoveries are in East Zorra Tavistock, meaning we only have 1 active case of COVID-19 in Oxford County in Tillsonburg. Southwestern Public Health Region has 3 active cases total with 2 in Elgin County.
To date, the Health Unit has tested 8,599 people for COVID-19. We have 83 cumulative confirmed cases, 76 cases have been resolved, 4 people have died from the virus and we currently have 3 active cases. We have also have had three institutional outbreaks since the pandemic was declared and the are all listed as resolved.
