Private well owners now have new options for water testing. Oxford County will be opening some of its rural Library branches up for landowners to bring in their water samples for testing. That includes Embro, Norwich, Plattsville, Tavistock, and Thamesford. Program Supervisor of Health Protection, Peter Heywood says there are only certain days and times where the samples can be submitted. "Unfortunately we just don't have the capacity to offer this service Monday to Friday, so we have selected dates that work for library services as well as Public Health and people visit our website and those dates are there." The water testing, through the Well Aware program is free, and begins on April 1st.
