The Woodstock Fire Department is offering a variety of online activities in order to keep kids busy during the stay-at-home order.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Fire Department is going to be very active online during the stay-at-home order.
Public Information Coordinator Lisa Woods says they have posted a variety of videos on the department's YouTube page for families to check out.
"We've got a hall tour at Station 1 and a tour of our bunker gear. We did a fun video of cooking with the firefighters because everybody talks about the fact that firefighters are great cooks and the firefighters stay there for 24 hours so it shows what they do for meals and how that all works."
Some of the other videos include story time videos and training videos as well.
Woods says the Woodstock Fire Department has also launched it's own Google Classroom online.
"It's not only for teachers. It's for parents that are at home with their kids. There's activities to do and fire safety information that's for all ages as well."
It's free to participate and but you need to have a G-Mail account.
Woods says members of the public are welcome to submit suggestions for future online content, adding they're always looking for new ideas.
