A Brownsville couple are the proud parents a new baby boy. The 8 pound, 15 ounce bundle of joy was born at 2:38am New Year's Day. Parents Bert and Nelleke Roos named their new baby Alex Jacob. It's Woodstock General's first baby delivery of the new year that Nelleke says was very exciting "The new hospital in one word I can say is "wow". It's amazing. The new hospital is really nice - it's a lot better than the old hospital. The nurses are really good and they were really excited to have a new year's baby and the doctor was too. We had a lot of fun and they had a little party for me. It was definitely different than the other labours and it was a lot of fun". The couple say they were surprised by their new arrival that wasn't due until January 5th. It's the fourth addition to the Roos family. Alex Jacob has two sisters, Emma aged 4, 3 year old Olivia and brother Ian of 20 months. Nelleke and Alex Jacob are being released this afternoon and are doing just fine.
