Community centres, customer service offices and other services will be closed in Brant County during lockdown, however the tennis courts, parks, trails and sports fields remain open for public use.
BRANT COUNTY - The County of Brant has listed a number of county run programs and buildings that will be closed during the Province wide lockdown.
All customer service offices in the County will be closed until further notice. A number of services are offered online at www.brant.ca/OnlineServices and they will have people who can help you over the phone at 519-44BRANT (519-442-7268) or by email at info@brant.ca.
Community Centres and arenas will be closed to the public and all facility rentals that are booked during the lockdown period will be cancelled as well. Credits will be applied to accounts where applicable.
The libraries will remain open to drop-off and pick- materials, however full access to the building will not be permitted. The museum at Syl Apps will be closed until further notice.
Please note that outdoor recreational amenities are OPEN including:
- Tennis courts (online memberships for Paris are available)
- Simply Grand Dog Park (online memberships available)
- Playgrounds
- Disc golf
- Basketball courts
- Skate parks
- Sports fields
- Trails
- Outdoor fitness equipment
- All recreational park areas
A five person gathering limit applies for all public spaces. This means you can't gather with more than 5 people at the park and 2 metres of physical distancing must be maintained.
