The Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association will be hosting its Wings and Wheels Family Fun Day at the Tillsonburg Airport tomorrow.
TILLSONBURG - The Tillsonburg Airport will be a packed place for the 14th annual Wings and Wheels Family Fun Day.
It's happening tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and it's hosted by the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association. Public Relations Chair Terry Scott says it's going to be a busy day.
"We're going to have aircraft in the air and on the ground. We will be conducting hanger tours, we've got educational displays, various fundraising activities, and food trucks. We've also got a garage sale, a book sale, and a whole lot more going on so there will be something for everyone including kids."
They will also have their vintage car show this year after last year's event saw over 350 entries. Those who enter their vehicle will have a chance to win door prizes.
The Harvard was the primary trainer for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan for World War II. Scott says members of the public will have the chance to fly in one of these planes.
"We are offering a very special flight experience. For only $225 it gets you a 10-minute in-the-air flight, but by all accounts, it will be a half-hour experience in a WW2 trainer."
There will be no admission fee for tomorrow's event, but donations will be accepted for the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association.
Scott says the weather for Saturday is looking pretty good right now, but the rain date is scheduled for Sunday if that changes. The weather cancellation notice would be posted online here sometime this afternoon.
