Charities in Oxford, Elgin, and Norfolk have until December 15th to submit an application to become the 2023 Charity of Choice for the Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg & Area Association of Realtors.
WOODSTOCK - The application for the 2023 Charity of Choice is now available.
Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg & Area Association Realtors have been selecting a charity to support for a fifth consecutive year now.
President Anthony Montanaro says the applications are due on December 15, 2022.
"In early 2023, the committee will meet and go through the applications and choose the Charity of Choice for 2023. Our Realtors Care Committee accepts these applications and with predetermined criteria, they go through them to identify the charitable organization that WITAAR would like to support for that year and provide their recommendation to the Directors”.
The committee is seeking charities that impact Oxford, Elgin, and/or Norfolk County specifically and they'll be looking at how they will use the funds that would be donated.
Eventually, after careful consideration, the charity chosen will receive the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation’s grant, which comes from a pledge from all members to donate one dollar every month to the foundation as well as WITAAR events and other fundraising campaigns.
If you are a local charity of Oxford, Elgin, or Norfolk County and would like to be considered, you can contact staff liaison, Mary Baxter at mary@witaar.ca for more details.
