The Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue is unable to accept new intakes of cats or kittens at this time.
WOODSTOCK - A local organization is feeling the effects of rising costs.
The Woodstock Kitten Nursery and Rescue is in a spot where they are unable to take on more cats and kittens.
In a post on their Facebook page, they said in recent months the number of intakes has skyrocketed from previous years. They add there is less support through the summer jobs program and a huge increase in veterinary costs.
The Rescue says it is a heartbreaking spot to be in and the donations are not matching the costs. At this time the money and resources that they have will be directed to the current animals in their care.
The Rescue is asking the public for help in spreading the word to get the mommas and kittens adopted.
