Organizers predict between 5000 and 10 000 people will be in and out of the event throughout the day
WOODSTOCK - Canada Day Celebrations are returning to Southside Park.
This year's event is expected to be even bigger with more food vendors than ever before.
City Communications and Special Events Manager, Brad Janssen says there is a new addition to this year's event.
"Something new this year too is axe throwing. It's going to be kind of a null and unique event that you can participate in. Because of the heat we are anticipating, we have arranged for a hydration station. So please bring your environmentally friendly beverage container."
Janssen says a fan favourite entertainer is returning.
"The fire guy is back by popular demand. He's going to be performing a couple events. We have another world class busker called 'The Balloon Maestro'. Looking forward to seeing his performance."
The entertainment lineup begins at 2 in the afternoon with new and returning entertainers.
They predict between 5000 and 10 000 people coming and going throughout the celebrations.
