The Sri Guru Singh Sabha Working Committee and the Woodstock punjabi community will be hosting a food drive this weekend in honour of Sikh Heritage Month.
WOODSTOCK - April is Sikh Heritage Month.
One way that the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Working Committee and the local punjabi community is celebrating the month is with a food drive. They will be collecting donations on Saturday between 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Shanna Larsen Park at 48 Upper Thames Drive in Woodstock and at the Ludington Park at the corner of Springbank Ave and Halifax Street.
All of the items donated this year will go towards the Salvation Army.
Normally, the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Working Committee celebrates Sikh Heritage in Woodstock every year in April by performing prayers and collecting donations, but due to COVID this year they will restrict themselves to collecting donations only.
