Woodstock Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Selling Fentanyl

A 34 year old man from Woodstock was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Tuesday for selling Fentanyl.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police continue to warn the public about the dangers of fentanyl.  

Since January 2019, officers have responded to over 110 overdose calls - and have investigated 10 overdose-related deaths. 

During that time - officers have seized over $225,000.00 worth of illicit fentanyl off the streets.

In recent investigation conducted by the Criminal Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit, over $93,000.00 worth of fentanyl was seized from a Woodstock resident. As a result of this investigation, 34-year old Landon Dagenais was sentenced to 12 years in prison for drug trafficking on Tuesday. 

In 2017, a Woodstock pharmacist was convicted of trafficking prescription fentanyl within the City of Woodstock. The pharmacist received a sentence of 11 years imprisonment. Since this time, several other drug traffickers, convicted of trafficking illicit fentanyl within the City of Woodstock, have received sentences ranging from 3 years to 12 years imprisonment.
