27 teams and 183 walkers raised over $75 000 in this year's MS Walk in Woodstock
WOODSTOCK - Over $75,000 was raised during the MS Walk in Woodstock.
27 teams and 183 walkers participated in the event this past Sunday on Old Wellington Street.
The MS Society as a whole raised over $3 million dollars this year with walks taking place across the country.
Co-coordinator of Fund Development with the MS Society Breanna Thompson says the people of Oxford County really showed their support last weekend."We are absolutely thrilled, Woodstock and Oxford County as a community is absolutely amazing, we are so proud of them and all their hard work in helping to raise funds for the MS society."
She adds it is not just a one day thing for the supporters in Woodstock as they work hard all year round to help out the MS Society.
Thompson says all of the money raised locally stays local and goes to support people living with MS in Oxford County.
