A Woodstock Police officer suffered minor injuries tracking down the driver and passenger of a stolen Ford Fusion in the City on Thursday.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police have recovered a stolen car and arrested two people.
Officers noticed the silver ford fusion in the west end of the City on Thursday afternoon around 4:00 pm. Stratford Police were called in for backup when the car refused to stop.
Officers from Stratford were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Perth Road 113 and Perth Line 26 at 4:30 pm. The vehicle stop resulted in a minor collision between the stolen vehicle and the Woodstock Police Service Intelligence vehicle. The officer driving the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Woodstock Police and Stratford Police were able to stop the vehicle and take two persons into custody.
22 year old Ashley Williams of Stratford is facing the following charges:
- Adult Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Adult Flight From Peace Officer
- Adult Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
- Adult Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine
- Adult Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 Counts)
26 year old Mohamed Barrie of No Fixed Address was also arrested and facing the following charges:
- Adult Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
- Adult Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine
- Adult Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Methamphetamine
