Woodstock Police Briefs

Briefs include ongoing mischief, a stolen mountain bike, vehicle entries, over $10,000 in tools stolen from a construction site and a teen charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

WOODSTOCK - Woodstock police are investigating an ongoing case of mischief at a business on Dundas Street. 

Several items have been thrown at the store front window over the past five months. There is no damage being caused, however it is becoming a nuisance problem for the owner.

Several vehicles were broken into on Cromwell Street in Woodstock over the weekend. 

One of the vehicles suffered minor damage and change along with some cd's were stolen during the thefts. Lottery tickets and electronic devices were also stolen from two vehicles this weekend parked on Southwood Way. 

Woodstock residents are reminded to lock their vehicles even when parked in their private driveways and not keep any valuables inside your vehicle.

Over $10,000 in tools have been stolen from a construction site in Woodstock. 

The theft happened sometime between Thursday and Friday of last week on Devonshire Ave. A locked large metal container on the property was broken into and several tools were taken. In order to open the door of the container, a large piece of equipment that was on the property had to be moved. There is no reported damage to any equipment.

A Kona blast mountain bike was stolen from a business on Juliana Drive on Saturday.

Woodstock Police have charged a 15 year old teen with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Officers were called after a fight between several teens on Friday on Sunset Street.  During the altercation, one of the kids pulled out a knife. Nobody was seriously injured and police arrested 5 males at a home on Keats Street after the fight. 

The 15 year old was released from police custody and is scheduled a court appearance in Woodstock Youth court.
