WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police are warning the public about a scam making the rounds yesterday.

Police were called twice yesterday about fraudulent emails. The scammer sent an email using a friend of the victim's email address, asking for money though Google Play card codes.

To prevent hackers gaining access to your email account, change your email password regularly and make your password long and strong by using symbols, numbers, capital and lowercase letters.

If a friend or family member is requesting money always confirm by speaking with the individual by another means of communication.
