Woodstonians got to choose between the American goldfinch, the song sparrow, or the black capped chicadee.
WOODSTOCK - The black-capped chickadee has been named the official bird for the City of Woodstock.
The announcement was made during Cowapalooza over the weekend.
The city launched an online survey asking for the public's help selecting an official bird. According to a post on the Woodstock Field Naturalists' Club Facebook page, about 1,700 residents participated.
The other options were the American goldfinch and the song sparrow.
