Woodstock Sports Wall of Fame is Taking Nominations

The Sports Wall of Fame is accepting nominations for 7 categories including an Honourable Achievement award.

WOODSTOCK - It is time to nominate who you think should go on the Woodstock Sports Wall of Fame.

The Wall of Fame adds new members every other year falling on the odd years. You are able to look at the Wall of Fame when you visit the Reeve's Community Complex. Woodstock Recreation Advisory Committee member, Mark Schadenburg says what kind of nominations they are looking for.

"There is actually 7 different categories. Male athlete and Female athlete, then Team, there is also a Builder of Sport category, and Historic category is another one, but the other one would be Lifetime Achievement award."

The 7th category is an Honourable Achievement award. Schadenburg adds when people will have to have their nominations submitted by.

"We are inviting more nominations up until March 31st. Then we will take a look at those nominations, the new ones along with the old ones that are sort of on file from previous years."
