WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police charged 36 drivers during a 2 day traffic enforcement blitz in the Friendly City.
Officers were targeting speeding, dristracted driving, intersection related violations and impaired driving. It also included a 4 hour RIDE program that was carried out at a number of spots in the City.
Most of the charges handed out were for speeding and distracted driving. They did issue one road side breath test during the RIDE program and a suspended driver was served notice of his suspension.
With the unseasonably mild temperatures the Woodstock Police would like to remind motorists to drive responsibly and adhere to the posted speed limits. In the case of inclement weather please adjust your driving habits accordingly.
