Women's hockey will be hitting the ice all weekend.
WOODSTOCK - Hockey arenas in Woodstock and Norwich will host an exciting hockey tournament for fans this weekend.
The annual event will take place in different hockey arenas in Woodstock and Norwich, showcasing women's hockey teams from across parts of Ontario and the USA.
House League Director Jason Arnott says the tournament brings a lot of business to the community.
"It's an excellent economic spin-off for the city. There's lots of restaurants, motels that are kept busy through all of this."
The fundraiser will feature 50 teams in 10 divisions. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Woodstock Wildcats Hockey Association.
"We can generate some additional funds for some of our expenses; jerseys, a lot of the fees that go along with running a girls hockey association."
The tournament runs from January 4th-6th.
