WOODSTOCK - Christine Gomes of Woodstock is $74,910 richer after winning the Woodstock Hospital Foundation 50/50 draw.
When the hospital called Christine last Monday morning to tell her she won, she actually ignored the call. She called back a few minutes later and said that she knew she was the winner and was so excited that she needed a few more minutes to compose herself.
Christine and here daughter Alana went to the hospital to pick up their cheque on Friday. Christine said it still hasn't sunk in yet that she had an extra $74,910 in her pocket.
She is still deciding on what to do with the money and is thinking about buying a trailer.
Tickets for the February draw are on sale now and all proceeds go towards purchasing new equipment for the Woodstock Hospital. You can get your ticket online here.
