Police say charges are pending after a 16-year-old driver hit a hydro pole in Tillsonburg early this morning. Emergency crews were called to the scene on Broadway St. near Devonshire Ave. at 1:30AM. Police say a 2011 Chevy Silverado left the roadway and crashed into a concrete hydro pole, bringing down some hydro wires. The driver needed help from Paramedics and Tillsonburg Fire to get out of the vehicle. He was taken to Victoria Hospital in London with undisclosed injuries. His 16-year-old female passenger was taken to Tillsonburg Hospital as a precaution. The road was closed for a few hours overnight for repairs to the hydro lines.
