A wood enthusiasts dream come true, with demonstrations, seminars and over 50 exhibitors at the Woodstock Fairgrounds starting Friday.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Wood Show returns to the Friendly City.
It will feature Woodworking demonstrations, seminars and over 50 exhibitors. Owner Gina Downs says the Wood show has been coming to Woodstock for 39 years.
"It's about woodworking tools and learning new skills, we have a make and take workshop, all kinds of tools on display and we have a new Artisan Building this year, where we have unique handmade crafts, done by artisans."
She adds it is a great venue for anyone with an interest in woodworking or if you want to learn about woodworking.
"It's where people come together and learn new skills, they talk with other wood workers and they pick up new machinery, the manufacturing reps are here, so if you have any questions at all, if you want to learn something, it is a great place to be."
The Ontario Woodworking Championship (OWC) takes place annually and is held in conjunction with the Woodstock Woodworking Show. Our primary goal is to provide a superior championship where all woodcarvers, regardless of their degree of expertise, can display their carvings and enter competitions that offer rewards commensurate with the effort and dedication required to produce such Artistic Creations.
The show is happening all weekend long starting on Friday at the v. Tickets cost $13 for a day or $15 for the weekend and you can find more information online here.
