The Public Works Department has requested county council approve a water/wastewater connection from the Highway 401 Ingersoll Service Centre to the newly constructed sewage forcemain in Ingersoll. Director Rob Walton says the sewage pumping station infrastructure is already in place. "The infrastructure along Clarke Road and County Road 6 in the 401 corridor is already in place for this to happen, so the design was already contemplated and already built into everything we did." Council approved the project that's expected to be completed in the spring. Walton says so far 14 of the 23 service centres have been redeveloped so far - including the Woodstock Service Centre, with the remaining sites being redeveloped as exisiting leases expire.
