After 81 cases of COVID-19 were reported today, the total number of cases across the province has increased to 40,646. There were no deaths reported today and 36,953 cases resolved.
ONTARIO - The Province confirmed 81 cases of COVID-19 today.
The total number of cases in Ontario is at 40,646. Today's report says 5,905 of the cases are reported to be from residents living in long-term care homes, while 2,616 of the case are from healthcare workers associated with long-term care outbreaks.
There were no deaths reported today and there were 36,953 cases resolved. 1,800 of the deaths involve residents in long-term care homes and eight of them involve healthcare workers in long-term care homes.
So far, 2,582,652 tests have been completed and 25,847 are currently under investigation.
37 patients are in hospital with COVID-19. However, they anticipate to see the number of hospitalized patients increase once reporting compliance increases as approximately 40 hospitals did not submit their data to the Daily Bed Census for August 14th.
There are 18 patients currently in ICU and nine of them are ICU on a ventilator.
