Zorra Township has approved the Thamesford Public School's request for a Day of Caring in April.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Zorra Township has approved the Thamesford Public School's request for a Day of Caring in April.
Mayor Marcus Ryan says a group students came forward with an official request to council last month.
"The school is involved in a care initiative with the school board and they recognized in that a similar sort of theme to Zorra Townships new brand which is doing our part. So they approached us to ask if they can use our logo and our brand about doing your part in order to promote this and make it a bigger more effect thing. We enthusiastically said yes, absolutely do that, we want to help you in anyway we can."
Thamesford Public School is also challenging the other two Elementary schools to take part in the Day of Caring as well and they hope that some adults and older kids will get involved. Ryan says you can join in the students by doing something nice for someone on the Day of Caring.
"Whatever you want to do, there is no bar to get over, there is no comparison, however big or small your act is, it is just about go out and do your thing, the point is you did something nice to help someone."
The Day of Caring is happening on April 25th.
