Domino's has the Best Pepperoni Pizza and Gino's had the Best Creative Pizza with its spinach supreme pizza.
INGERSOLL - Downtown Ingersoll was a packed place for the fourth annual Pizza Fest.
Five local pizzarias showcased the best they had to offer; Tito's, Gino's, Domino's, Little Caesars, and Pizza Hut.
A panel of six judges got to try them all, but it was up to BIA Coordinator Virginia Armstrong to tally up all of the points.
"We have a score sheet and we had to get down to the nitty gritty of it because the scores were so very close, we have wonderful pizzarias here in Ingersoll. We were quite pleased to present Domino's with the prize for Best Pepperoni Pizza, and the other prize for Best Creative Pizza went to Gino's."
While the judges voted for their favourites, members of the public were able to try the pizzas for themselves while listening to live music and checking out some of the other activities on site.
Armstrong said it was a great turnout.
"I am so thrilled with the turnout today. It was amazing and despite the hot weather, everybody came out to enjoy the evening."
The festival was over and everything was cleaned up by the time it started to storm last night.
All of the proceeds raised at Pizza Fest will support local charities including the Ingersoll Salvation Army, the Ingersoll Lions Club and the Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts.
Armstrong would like to thank sponsors, the judges, and everyone who attended the event. She would also like to give a shoutout to the Ingersoll Pipe Band and Rated Blue for providing live music for the evening.
