Expect your cell phone to go off just before 1 PM today.
Alert Ready will conduct a test in most provinces today over television and radio, and cell phones will get a text message.
Ontario's alert is scheduled for 12:55.
The testing will sound like an emergency alert and begin with the alert tone.
The message will state that it's just a test and members of the public won't need to take any action.
The company says British Columbia will be the only province not participating, due to the devastating flooding and mudslides.
The tests are conducted every year during Emergency Preparedness Week in May and the third week of November.
