Allen said she wants to review all of the town's services and ensure they are adequate for the increase in population.
TILLSONBURG - It's her second try at becoming a councillor in Tillsonburg.
Cindy Allen's background is supporting people with disabilities and mental health and she's been the Chair of the Tillsonburg Accessibility Advisory Committee, and the Vice-Chair of the Tillsonburg Transit Advisory Committee for the last 4 years.
For this year's campaign, Allen thought it would be more useful to donate money to the Helping Hand Food Bank instead of lawn signs.
Her platform is a lot about managing the town's growth, and what is needed to sustain that growth.
" I propose a nurse practitioner-led clinic to help improve access to medical care in our community. The hope is that once we establish a nurse practitioner-led clinic, it will help attract a physician."
Allen believes that the town could find help to raise money for the project with a fundraiser link, citing the effectiveness of the fundraiser for the Whitestone Nursing Station in Northern Ontario.
Allen also said she wants to review all of the town's services and ensure they are adequate for the increase in population.
The municipal election is just around the corner on October 24.
