Trevor Birtch will spend his last day as the Mayor of Woodstock in a virtual London courtroom.
UPDATE: The Birtch case has been adjourned until the New Year.
During today's court appearance, Birtch's lawyer James Battin requested the matter be adjourned once again because there's more disclosure available that he would like to have before things move forward.
The Crown requested that the case moves to case management, but the judge sided with Battin in the end.
The case has been adjourned until Monday, January 2nd, 2023.

WOODSTOCK/LONDON - The outgoing Mayor of Woodstock is due back in court this morning.
Trevor Birtch is facing assault charges in two separate London Police investigations. He's facing one count of assault and two counts of sexual assault in the first case that started making headlines in February. The second case came to light in April and Birtch is facing three counts of sexual assault in that investigation.
This will be Birtch's first court appearance since losing the municipal election last month. He finished the mayoral race in fourth place with just over 300 votes. The new Woodstock City Council will be sworn in tomorrow.
Heart FM will be covering today's court appearance and will provide more details as soon as they're available.
