Deadline for applications is December 16th.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Woodstock Ingersoll Tillsonburg and Area Association of Realtors (WITAAR) is now accepting applications for the Charity of Choice.
President Alison Porter says the local real estate board chooses a charity to support every year.
"This will be the seventh year since we began selecting a Charity of Choice to help drive our fundraising activities and donations to make them more impactful. Our Realtors Care Committee, accepts these applications and with predetermined criteria they go through them to identify the charitable organization that WITAAR would like to support for that year."
WITAAR donates $1 per board member each month through the Every Realtor campaign. It also fundraises for the selected cause during annual events and the charity is nominated for the Ontario Realtors Care Foundation Grant.
Porter says December 16th is the application deadline and a committee will go through all of the applications and select the winner early next year.
"The committee is looking for charities that impact Oxford County, what they provide to our communities here in Oxford. The application also asks how they will use funds donated.”
Those who are interested should in applying should reach out to the real estate board for more information. Mary Baxter is the Realtors Care staff liaison and her e-mail address is mary@witaar.ca.
