DORCHESTER - Police have charged a 51 year old man from Thames Centre after a police standoff in Dorchester.
Officers were called to Catherine Street last Sunday after a witness heard what they believed was a gun shot from a rural property. Sometime later, that same witness observed a man with a gun who was interacting with others in a threatening manner.
Multiple police units arrived and surrounded the house while the man barricaded himself inside.
He was eventually arrested and charged with careless use of a firearm, pointing a firearm and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Nobody was injured during the standoff.
