So far less than 10 teddy bears have been donated for the Baby Alex Teddy Bear Drive.
WOODSTOCK - Time to Chill in Woodstock is looking for more donations for this year's Baby Alex Teddy Bear Drive.
Last year the drive collected 115 teddy bears, so far this year they only have around 5 and they also accepting toiletry donations.
Time to Chill Owner/Operator Sandra Pereira says they are only accepting new items and cash donations.
"They all have to be brand new teddy bears and it has to be new socks, new toiletries. All of those things have to be new, but I mean you can go and get two toothbrushes for $1.25. You can also make a donation into the Baby Alex box here."
Pereira adds those who drop their donations off at Time to Chill will also get a special treat.
"You'll get a coupon for a free ice cream, then just to kick it up a notch and make something different we're also going to give you a ballot to fill out and at the end of the month, which we run it to the very end, you could win an ice cream cake of your choice."
The 7th annual drive is in memory of 4 month old Alexander Gideon Fleming, who lost his life to an impaired driver in 2008. Baby Alex's mother Mary Rodrigues takes the donated items and creates gift baskets for the Child and Youth Mental Health Program at the London Health Sciences Centre and for elderly patients at the Woodstock Hospital.
