Police are encouraging the public to do their part to prevent thefts, by simply securing your property, after a bike was stolen from an unlocked shed.
TILLSONBURG - The OPP is reminding residents to secure your property, including vehicles, barns and sheds.
Police received a report of a bicycle theft in Tillsonburg on Trottier Drive. The shed where the bike was stored was unlocked.
It is believed the theft happened sometime overnight on Monday.
The stolen bicycle is described as a hybrid GT style, silvery grey and black in colour with a red and black speedometer on the handle bars. The bicycle also has a comfort style seat.
The OPP says theft is a crime of opportunity that the community can help control, by locking up belongings.
