Everyone in the Friendly City is encouraged to wear purple tomorrow to help support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - Tomorrow is Big Brothers Big Sisters Day in the Friendly City.
Marketing Assistant Shaylyn Jackson says they have been painting the town purple all month with the help of local businesses.
"So we want to ramp up that up even more and we want to make our sea of purple even more significant by asking people to wear a purple on Tuesday."
Jackson says you can show your support on Tuesday by posting a photo of yourself wearing purple to social media and tagging them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter using #BBBSDAY. They also still have kits prepared for any local business who wants to show their support to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock.
Last year the organization served almost 500 kids in Woodstock and area. Jackson says they always need more volunteers.
"This year we are on track to serve roughly 600 kids, so long as we have the mentors to do so. The more mentors we have, the more children we are able to serve, which is something that we are really trying to drive home this month."
