WOODSTOCK - Trevor Birtch will be back in the courtroom today. This time he will be in Superior Court for an assignment court hearing.
The former Mayor of Woodstock was charged with two sets of assault charges last year. He was charged with one count of assault and two counts of sexual assault in February and three counts of sexual assault in April.
Today's appearance will focus on alleged incidents that happened between June 1st, 2021, and September 30th, 2021.
He also has another assignment court hearing at the Superior Court level scheduled for May 16th, addressing the other charges laid against him.
Birtch served two terms as the Mayor of Woodstock. He was first elected in 2014 and was re-elected in 2018, but he placed fourth in the 2022 mayoral race.
