Four local businesses are being featured in a Shop Hop event to celebrate Black History Month.
WOODSTOCK - Local shops are being celebrated for Black History Month.
The Woodstock Museum will be honouring businesses owned by Black, African, and Caribbean people. A Shop Hop event is taking place all month and it is being put on by the Museum, Oxford County Archives, and the Downtown Woodstock BIA. Four businesses are part of the event, including Hanak Foods, Highlander Studios, Lionessence Beauty Supply, Urban Queens Beauty, and AfroMart.
Each of the businesses features a display with a mini-exhibit panel highlighting Black Woodstonians of the past. Oxford County Archives created the panels and will include information and photos from the Woodstock Museum.
You can find all the information on the Woodstock Museum website.
