BRIGHT - A boil water advisory has been issued for the Bright municipal water system in Blandford-Blenheim.
This is being done for precautionary reasons after a watermain break that has since been repaired.
Residents under the Boil Water Advisory are asked to boil their tap water or use bottled water for drinking, making infant formula and juices, cooking, making ice, washing fruits and vegetables, or brushing teeth until further notice. Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute and allow it to cool. It may then be stored in clean containers.
Oxford County will advise residents when laboratory test results show the water is safe from harmful bacteria.
This advisory follows damage from a Class 2 watermain break leaving the water supply system open to potential contamination.
