WOODSTOCK - A bottle drive is happening all this month in Woodstock for an 8 year old who lost a lot of his favourite possessions in a garage fire.
8 year old Colton lives with his mom Jessica and his sister Ashley and the fire destroyed their garage on the weekend. Inside was some of his most prized possessions, many of them had sentimental value as well. He lost all of his sports equipment including his ball hockey goalie gear, basketball, a set of junior left handed golf clubs, soccer ball, hockey stick, basketball, badminton gear, roller blades and his bicycle.
Laura D'Entremont's son is Colton's best friend and that is why she is organizing the bottle drive.
"Colton recently had a tragic loss in the family and to add to the devastation, his garage caught fire, which had sentimental items, all of his outdoor equipment and this little guy has been through a lot in the last couple of months and we wanted to do something to get some of his stuff back."
You can drop off your empties to 68 Tom Black Boulevard in Woodstock until the end of August. If you want to donate outdoor sports equipment for Colton that would be greatly appreciated as well, as he loves playing outdoors with his friends.
