Break and Enters

Woodstock Police were kept busy Monday -- responding to reports of four break and enters that occurred across the city.

WOODSTOCK -- Woodstock Police want to remind homeowners to lock-up and not make your home an easy target following a handful of residential break-ins Monday in the city.

The first occurred on Earlscourt Crescent and Brompton Avenue Monday sometime after 12:30pm where entry was gained through an insecure window before jewellery was taken.

Between 1:00-and-2:00pm, a door was forced open at a home on Lansdowne where a resident was home and reported seeing a male suspect.  Later, homes on Lancaster and Wellington Street North were entered through an insecure door where jewellery and cash was taken.

The suspect is described as being a white male, 20-to-30 years old, under six feet tall, medium build, short hair in a buzz cut.  The suspect was also wearing a light coloured shirt and a black back-pack with silver lettering on it.  He was riding an adult sized black mountain bike.

Anyone with information regarding this crime or any other crime is asked to contact the Woodstock Police Service at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 519-421-TIPS (8477)
