The County has several virtual activities planned, including stories being shared on fellow citizens who are brightening up Brant through their good deeds, a virtual car cruise and more.
BRANT COUNTY - It is Recreation and Parks and Seniors Month in June in Brant County.
This year's theme is Brighten Up Brant!
Manager of Recreation Services Stacey Ellins says the County will be offering virtual activities as well as a contest.
"Although we all need to do things differently this year, the County will offer a number of virtual activities, fun resources and a contest to 'Brighten Up Brant'. We hope you’ll join us (virtually) for the month of June!”
Among the things to look forward to include social media videos from County councillors, fun little gifts that will be hidden in parks for kids to discover and more.
Ellins adds the County is also having a photo contest.
“We are also excited to host a photo contest for your chance to win an ultimate backyard prize pack! Please share your photos with us of how you’re celebrating this June.”
Other activities include:
- Online fitness classes, library story time and an Alzheimer Zoom meeting will be hosted throughout the month.
- Sharing stories about fellow citizens who are brightening up Brant through their good deeds,
- Water safety will also be a focus for June,
- A Virtual Car Cruise is underway and we encourage you to submit photos of your vintage and classic cars.
- And more.
