The Burgessville Santa Claus Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow and Santa Claus will be stopping by the after party at the Burgessville Fire Station.
BURGESSVILLE - A Burgessville holiday tradition is almost here.
The Santa Claus Parade is taking place this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and planning committee member Dave Topham talks about what can be expected this year.
"Our parade is one that you just show up, you get in line and away you go, but we do have obviously Santa, I have my float in the parade and there are a few entries I already know of. We're hoping for 35-40 [entries] again this year and for a small town, I think that's pretty good.
There is no entry form required, so anyone wishing to enter the parade can join the lineup at 6:00 p.m. on Snyder Street.
The route starts off at Deer Crescent, then the parade heads down Highway 59 East and ends at Malcolm's Holdings, where parking will be available.
After the parade, which is expected to last 20-25 minutes, the community is invited to the fire station for an afterparty where everyone can get hot chocolate, cookies, and an opportunity to meet Santa.
Firefighters will be accepting non-perishable food items for the local food bank.
