A Woodstock streetscape has changed today with a house being torn down at the corner of Wilson and Henry. The house, which was rented out as a semi, caught fire back in September. The two residents of the house both made it out safely at 3:30 in the morning on September 8th, as they were alerted by working smoke detectors. However, damage to the interior of the home was beyond repair as the flames consumed both the main and second floors. After several months of delays, the house finally came down today. It's unknown what will happen with the parcel of land in the future. In the meantime, there are lane reductions on both Wilson and Henry Streets at that corner.
